José Pablo Neikase, an artisan and community leader of the Okaina people, lives in La Chorrera, in the Amazon region. In this region, daily activities such as fishing, hunting, and gathering rely on the use of handcrafted objects. From childhood, he learned to weave bejuco, an ancestral technique that is now also used to create items for sale.
