Vaupés is a region located in the Colombian Amazon, characterized by lush nature, meandering rivers, and a dense tropical forest teeming with biodiversity. Scarcely populated and difficult to access, this territory is the cradle of numerous indigenous communities whose traditions and way of life are closely linked to their environment. Local crafts, deeply rooted in the ancestral culture of the indigenous peoples, are distinguished by their use of natural materials. These plant fibers, harvested with respect and transformed using techniques passed down from generation to generation, give rise to unique objects such as woven baskets, hammocks, or ritual ornaments.
